Pankration Preliminary Rounds came to the end

BEIJING, 2^nd September – The second day of wrestling came at the appointed time. The Pankration preliminary rounds including 70kg, 80kg and 90kg bouts took place.

In the morning, Russian athletes performed perfectly. Andrey KORESHKOV won 3 bouts respectively to enter the final against Jonathan FRIEDLAND. In the preliminary round Pankration 90kg, Mayindur MAGOMEDOV also got an admission ticket into the final.

The matches of this morning were extremely fierce so that several players were heavily injured. Especially, the Japanese athlete SHIRAI Massayoshi fell into a swoon by a powerful blow. In addition, the athletes’ clothes were also torn in several games.

In the afternoon, Grappling Preliminary Rounds will play ahead of thousands of enthusiastic spectators. The Pankration and Grappling finals will begin at 7p.m.
