Women Isn’t Inferior to Any Man for AIKIDO

BEIJING, 30 August – In the afternoon, the simply marvelous Advanced Skills Performance presented before thousands of exciting spectators. Dozens of athletes conveyed the soul of Aikido completely in a skillfully masterful manner.

The demonstration in the afternoon was much more splendid. The powerful and fierce offense provoked the passion of the scene audiences. The attackers tried their best to beat the opponent to sufficiently present the charm of Aikido.

At the beginning, the athletes from Australia, Chinese Taipei and Brazil demonstrated Kokyu nage and Juji nage. Both of the skills could force the opponent down for a moment. The brilliant performance boosted the warm applause of the spectators. And then a Australian woman athlete threw the opponent down skillfully and softly just like ballet. In response, the spectators cheered for a long time.

The next performance was Juji nage. Two French male athletes’ motions were very fluent and they presented various kinds of Aikido techniques. The other two female athletes performed Juji nage vividly and incisively. Viewing Aikido, many people will be convinced by its harmonious and smooth bodily movement.

A Russian female athlete performed Koshi nage. Her movement combined vigor and tenderness so perfectly that she overcame the fierce attack of her opponent and beat him by hitting his vital point.

The performances of Finland athletes pushed the games to an exciting climate. A blonde sportswoman was hit by a sturdy male athlete. We all held our breaths but she avoided the attacks flexibly as if she had seen though the attacker. She could always head off a disaster by adept tactics and throw the opponent on the ground.

Altogether, there were forty athletes participating in the games this afternoon. They brought a magnificent feast of Aikido to the spectators.
