In the Men’s+0Kg Preliminary, Chinese athletes ZHANG Lei，WANG Yuntao，WANG Fei，SHEN Zhuhong and LIU Jian all lost the competition. Finally, Japanese athletes MOMOSE Masaru and DEGUCHI Yuki, Latvian athlete OSNACS Vladimir, and French athlete WUSTNER Jerome gained their access to the finals. During the competition, Japanese athlete MOMOSE stood out and made sure of the victory with ippon for many times. His excellent performances won the cheers from the spectators.
The woman athletes from China also attracted people’s attention. The Olympic champion LIU huanyuan calmly engaged the game and won the competition in the preliminary. Finally, Chinese dark horse QIN Qian, Olympic champion LIU Huanyuan and experienced athlete LI Meifang ascended to the finals. Japanese athlete SHIRASHI Nodoka will also show up in the finals. The coach from the Japanese women’s Judo team said that Chinese women athletes were competitive. They had advantages both physically and technically. He also said that tomorrow’s competition will be close matches, and will be very fierce.
