TOM体育讯 北京时间6月13日，为迎接2008年北京奥运会开幕倒计时一周年，在国际奥委会和北京奥组委的支持下，由文明杂志社出版，中国集邮总公司监制的“新北京·新奥运”系列珍藏特刊Ⅳ《奥林匹克与集邮》已开始在全国发行。国际奥委会终身名誉主席萨马兰奇先生为特刊撰写的序言祝愿中国2008年北京奥运会圆满成功。记者现将萨马兰奇先生的序言摘录如下：

我像热爱奥林匹克一样热爱集邮

国际奥委会终身名誉主席 胡安·安东尼奥·萨马兰奇

众所周知，我的一生都与奥林匹克结下了不解之缘。其实，我与邮票的缘分来得似乎更早，我已有几十年的邮龄了。当我还是孩子的时候，我曾经“设计”过一枚“邮票”，目的是用来做书签。在这枚“邮票”上，我画上了奥林匹克的五环标志和西班牙巴塞罗那市议会的标志。那时我并没有想到，若干年后，我自己成为了国际奥委会的主席和巴塞罗那市议会的议长。

自从开始担任国际奥委会主席以来，工作虽然非常繁忙，但我始终坚持集邮，并提出了奥林匹克集邮的建议。我认为奥林匹克和体育运动已经成为世界上主要的集邮题材，奥运会和奥林匹克邮票二者应结合起来，相互辉映，使亿万人民了解奥运会和奥林匹克集邮，促使体育集邮事业蓬勃发展，从而达到奥林匹克运动大众化、奥林匹克集邮大众化。我广泛地收集世界各国和地区的体育邮票，其中以反映奥林匹克题材的邮品为主。

在我担任国际奥委会主席期间，最使我感到骄傲的是创建了新的奥林匹克博物馆。在众多的奥运收藏中，集邮是我最大的爱好。1989年，我曾把我收藏的一组珍贵邮票捐赠给了奥林匹克博物馆，这也是父亲给我的一份礼物。

但如今，我也不得不替包括我在内的集邮爱好者们担心，因为电子邮件的出现，正在逐渐威胁着集邮的生存。看过由著名的文明杂志社出版的《奥林匹克与集邮》，我感到十分的高兴和欣慰。通过这本书，会使更多的人通过邮票这个小小的窗口，了解到百年奥运的历史和文化。同时，也为奥林匹克事业留下了一份宝贵的文化遗产。

就像中国人民的热情和友谊一样，我很欣赏以中国传统文化为代表的东方文化。不得不承认，在文化上，东西方是互通互补的，第29届奥林匹克运动会即将在北京举办就是最好的例证。我相信2008年奥运会一定会取得圆满成功，也衷心祝中国所有热爱奥林匹克与热爱集邮的朋友好运。

I Love Stamp Collecting as well as the Olympic Games

It is well known that I have been closely related with the Olympic Games for much of my life. But in fact, I came into contact with stamp collecting earlier than the Olympic Games; I have been a collector for several decades. When I was a child, I designed an ex-libris to be used as a bookmark on which I drew the Olympic rings and the symbol of the Barcelona Province. At the time I could not have imagined that, years later, I would become the President of the International Olympic Committee as well as the President of the Barcelona Province.

Despite a tight schedule, I collected stamps throughout my time as President of the International Olympic Committee, and also set up Olympic postage. I believe that the Olympic Games and athletic sports have become the main subjects of stamp collecting throughout the world. We should unify the Olympic Games and Olympic-sports stamp collecting in order to greatly popularise both. I have been collecting stamps reflecting sports and the Olympic Games from all countries and regions of the world.

I was proud to establish the new Olympic Museum when I was the President of the International Olympic Committee. Among the various forms of Olympic-related collections, stamp collecting is my favourite. In 1989, I donated my collection of Olympic series stamps to the Olympic Museum – originally a present from my father.

But nowadays I am concerned for stamp collectors, myself included: the prevalence of e-mail is threatening the existence of stamp collecting. I am very happy and gratified to have read The Olympics and Stamp Collecting, published by Civilization Magazine. This book will help more people get to know the history and culture of the Olympic Games through the small window of stamps. It is also a precious cultural legacy of the Olympic cause.

In addition to the enthusiasm and friendship of the Chinese people, I greatly appreciate the eastern culture represented by Chinese traditional culture. The east and the west are culturally complementary, as evidenced by the Games of the XXIX Olympiad to be held in Beijing. I believe the Olympic Games in the year 2008 will be very successful. I sincerely wish the best of luck to all our Chinese friends who love the Olympic Games as well as stamp collecting.
